Enter Rock, Paper, Frigate, an innovative alternative that transforms conflict resolution into an entertaining strategic experience.
In this game, players challenge each other, establish the terms of their engagement, and select their fleet formations to resolve disputes through starship fleet battles. Each fleet consists of three primary types of ships, each with its own distinct strengths and weaknesses:
- Bombers: These are slow yet heavily armed vessels capable of annihilating frigates with a single attack but struggle against nimble fighters.
- Fighters: Small and agile, these ships can outmaneuver bombers but are susceptible to the superior firepower of frigates.
- Frigates: Balanced attack vessels that are not swift enough to evade bombers’ devastating assaults yet possess the speed necessary to engage fighters effectively.
After both players have finalized their ship formations, the fleets engage in an epic battle. The objective is simple: eliminate more ships than your opponent to claim victory.
Thus, resolving interpersonal conflicts has taken on an entirely new level of excitement.
If you find yourself in need of a break from your victorious arguments, consider exploring the Single Player Story Mode. This mode features two engaging campaigns: The Last Outpost and The Vanguard.
- The Last Outpost: Here, you command a space station orbiting the final human colony. As a recent graduate from Fleet Academy, you are entrusted with your first command on the periphery of known space—where expectations for trouble are minimal. With enemy fleets that change with each playthrough, memory and quick strategic thinking are essential for success.
- The Vanguard: Set on a busy trade route in another galaxy sector, you lead a frigate within the Sol Flotilla, tasked with investigating reported piracy. However, as your flotilla continues its search, it may turn out that the reports were overstated...
